Fasting to Lose Weight in 5 Easy Steps
Are you interested in losing weight? Would you like to jump start a new diet and exercise regimen? Do you feel like you have tried everything to lose weight but nothing has worked for you in the past? If so, you might want to try something new. Many people use fasting to lose weight. It can help you to lose those last five pounds or help you to lose those first five pounds. Read on to learn how.
Step #1 - Decide what your initial weight loss goal is. Fasting is not something that you should do for a long time. While it can help to cleanse your system, it can also put a toll on your system so you should only fast for as long as necessary. If your goal is to lose five pounds then use fasting to lose weight for those five pounds and then start a regular diet and exercise program to maintain that weight loss or to continue to lose weight on a sensible diet.
Step #2 – While you are fasting, make sure to stay well hydrate. Your body will need plenty of fluids during this time. Also, you should take a mulit-vitamin while you are fasting to lose weight. Your body will still need the vitamins and minerals that it would normally be getting from the foods that you eat.
Step #3 – Do not decide that now would be a good time to kick up your exercise program. Your body will not have the energy to do any more than a basic work out. If you are feeling up to it, feel free to stick to your regular work out but do not start adding intensity, weight or time to your work out right now. Once you are done fasting would be the time to do that.
Step #4 - Once you are done fasting to lose weight, go back to eating regular foods slowly. Your body will need time to re-acclimate to eating solid foods. Eat light, sensible meals. Do not overindulge thinking that you have “earned” it. Not only will you undo all of the hard work that you have done, but your body will not be able to handle it.
Step #5 – Now that you have lost your desired weight, it is up to you to keep it off and continue to lose weight if that is your goal. Continue eating well and exercising regularly and you will be able to fully reap the benefits of all of your hard work!
